 *🍳 Chinese Fried Rice (Homestyle with an Asian Twist)*

Chinese Fried Rice

📝 *Ingredients*:  

- 2 cups cooked basmati or Egyptian rice (preferably cold, from the day before)  

- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or sesame oil  

- 2 eggs (beaten – optional)  

- 1 small onion, chopped  

- 2 garlic cloves, minced  

- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers, corn)  

- 2 tbsp light soy sauce  

- 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger (or powder)  

- A pinch of black pepper  

- Salt to taste  

- Chopped green onions for garnish  


👨‍🍳 *Preparation*:

*Eggs (optional):*  

- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan (wok if available).  

- Add beaten eggs, scramble quickly until cooked, then set aside.  

*Sautéing Veggies:*  

- Add the remaining oil, sauté onion until soft.  

- Add garlic and ginger, stir until fragrant.  

- Add mixed vegetables, stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until slightly tender.  


*Adding Rice:*  

- Add the cooked (preferably cold) rice and stir to loosen clumps.  

- Return the eggs (if used) and mix well.  

*Seasoning & Final Fry:*  

- Add soy sauce, black pepper, and adjust salt.  

- Stir-fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes until lightly crisped.  


🌿 *To Serve:*  

Top with chopped green onions or toasted sesame seeds.  

Serve as a side or main dish with fried chicken or shrimp.
