- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar (if unavailable, you can mix 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon of molasses and let it dry until the next day)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 200 grams butter, at room temperature
- 1½ cups chocolate chips
- Melted chocolate spread for filling
Method of Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder, baking soda, and pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, beat the butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and continue beating.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until the dough comes together. Then, add the chocolate chips and mix again.
- You will notice that the dough has a biscuit-like texture, not runny.
- Grease a baking pan with butter and dust it with flour. Spread half of the dough into the pan, distribute the melted chocolate spread over it, and cover it with the remaining dough.
- Place it in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 390-400°F) on the middle rack for 25 to 30 minutes. Afterwards, turn on the broiler for just one minute to get a golden color.
- Let it cool down, then decorate with chocolate chips or chocolate pieces. Enjoy! ♥️
